1.  50% of the Native Americans live on federal reservation. The majority of the reservation are situated west of the Mississippi River.

2. Some of the social challenges the Native Americans faced was umployment, poverty, alcoholism and drug abuse. The possible causes of these challenges might be from the isolation on the reservations.

3. Tribal governments has now the right to enforce laws, both civil and criminal. To tax, to establish requirements for membership, to license and regulate activities, to zone and to exclude persons from tribal territories.

4. The sovereignty ("held in trut") of Native Americans fall short because the US still wishes to govern Native American peoples and treat them as subject to US law.

5. The BIA claims that it's resbonsimillity is the "admistration and management of 55,700,000 acres of land held in trust by the United States for American Indians, Indiantribes and Alaskan Natives".
