Road Trip

Planning our trip

Me and my best friends, Anelle, Tirill and Benedikte, are planning on going on a road trip.
This is the car we are going to use:

We are planning to drive from St. Ives to St.

We are planning to drive from ST. Ives to St. Levan.
It is a trip along the coast, and takes about 1 hour to drive the 28 miles, but we will try to make it last 6 or 7 days.
We will start the trip with a lazy day at Porthminster Beach, in St. Ives, Cornwall.
The beaches in St. Ives, Cornwall is said to be better than all the beaches in
Spain, France and Italy. So the beach is a must!
I think we would try to og to the St. Just farmers’ and craft market.
The marked is open the every last Sunday in the month.
Our last stop will be in Sennen, we will try to learn how to surf so
that will take 2 days for 2 lessons.

We are sleeping in the car the whole trip to
save some money. The first night will be in St. Ives after the day at the beach. Next night will be spend in St. Just, since we will be spending the day at the market and just se the town. In Sennen it will be 2 or 3 nights, we have to see if were in the mood to drive to St. Levan after an exhausting surfing lesson.

Our Trip
We used the volkswagen van as planned, it was not
the fastest car but thats a part of the charm of
road tripping. It was really good to sleep in as well,
we tooked out the seats in the back since we only
needed 4 seats. That became our sleeping place.
We chose that car because we need a car with a
personality, and people will see we are on a road trip.
Since we drove all over the world this summer we
wanted a car like this to feel like nomads, a really
old fashion car.

The trip along the coast of England, from St. Ives to
St. Levan took 7 days. On our way we learned to surf,
how markeds in England are and got to experience
a beach better than all the beaches in Spain, France
and Italy. It’s cool that the beaches in St. Ives, Cornwall
are better than the one they have in Spain, France and Italy.

We spent our first dy at the Porthminster Beach in
St. Ives. Porthminster Beach is the prettiest beach
I have ever seen, it felt like we was in the
Caribbean. The weather was stunning, and the
tanningline is back! It was the perfect start
of our road trip. In the evening, when the sun
hadgone down wefound a place topark the
car and stayed there for the night.

The next day we drove to St. Just to catch the farmers’ and craft market, where we bought freshed baked bread bread, some locally grown vegetables and cake of course. The bread tasted like heaven, and were still hot when we bought it. After visiting the marked we just walked around, to see how the town is. We found a really nice place to eat.
It’s called The Commerial.
It was a good place to spend our day in St. Just. I ate a burger,
the best burgr I have tasted! Since we got to bed so late last
night we decided to go to bed early.
So after eating, and some shopping
we found the car,
parked it and went to bed.

Next morning we got up early to drive to Sennen. In Sennen we stayed for 3 days, since the surfing lessons was over 2 days. It was really fun, I have always wanted to learn how to surf. It’s something I’ll never forget. The waves was perfect, but my arms are very sore now. We could barrow the surfing equipment whenever we wanted to surf so we spent must of the time in the water.

And finally we arrived St. Levan, our goal. This was the best summer trip together of all times. We are definetely going on a road trip next year, maybe to Germany og Italy. Already looking forward to it!
